Until then, remember that marijuana was first made illegal for several bullshit reasons, including but not limited to outright racism, the opposition of people who learned the wrong lessons from Prohibition, and big business not wanting to compete with hemp. I welcome change to the law in the usual manner (I’d say long overdue at the federal level, though that implies they had any real right at all), but I also bristle at the idea of any politician who voted to maintain criminalization now looking to profit from legalization. I am looking at you, John Boehner, but thanks for reading!
